My name is Denny Burk. I am Assistant Professor of New Testament at the Criswell College in Dallas, Texas.I am a Baptist Christian. My doctrinal commitments can be summarized in two Southern Baptist Statements of faith:
(1) The Abstract of Priniciples
(2) The Baptist Faith & Message 2000
I believe that God made man for His glory. God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ was crucified, buried, and bodily raised to life. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father in glory. Because of Christ’s victory over death and exaltation by the Father, He reigns forever over all.
Therefore, I agree with Abraham Kuyper who said: “There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: ‘Mine!’”
